FutureUp: Unlocking the potential of young people to foster innovation and inclusivity

The future is in the hands of young people, and it's our collective responsibility to empower them to create a brighter, more sustainable world. However, they are vulnerable to challenges, such as misinformation, hate speech, and political extremism. By investing in their growth and development, we can unlock their full potential and foster a culture of innovation, progress, and positive change.

The EU Youth Strategy (2019-2027) is a comprehensive framework that aims to support young people in their personal and professional development. By promoting youth participation in democratic life, social and civic engagement, and providing resources for their active involvement in society, the EU Youth Strategy sets the stage for a brighter future.

FutureUp is an EU-funded project that will embark young people (18+ years old) on a two-year journey across different European cities. The initiative will bring together young individuals from diverse backgrounds to explore the themes enshrined in the Charter of Fundamental Rights. Through interactive learning experiences, they will delve into the practical meaning of these rights in their daily lives, discussing topics such as religious and cultural diversity in Europe and current challenges and opportunities for young people in Europe.

The goal of FutureUp is to create opportunities for young people to learn from each other, work together, and build bridges across cultures and countries. By engaging with each other and with their communities, they will become active contributors to building a common future.
