How do European countries organise primary, secondary and higher education? Interested in the duration of each education level or the diversity of education programmes? Eurydice’s latest online project ‘The structure of the European education systems’ provides comprehensive answers, offering comparable data and interactive visuals.
With this interactive web tool, you can discover how education systems are structured across Europe. While these systems may be complex, Eurydice makes it simple, offering schematic and comparable information. Through detailed visuals and data, valuable insights are provided, from early childhood education and care to higher education programmes for the 2024/2025 school/academic year.
The data covers 39 education systems in 37 Erasmus+ programme countries, highlighting key aspects such as starting and leaving ages, the names of education institutions offering them, or the length of full-time and part-time compulsory education and training.
