The European Commission has published new guidelines to support teachers and educators better navigate the use of digital technologies in the classroom.
The guidelines focus on key areas such as understanding the ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI) and data in education, promoting digital literacy and tackling disinformation, helping teachers make informed choices about digital education content, and supporting the teaching of high-quality informatics.
They are flagship initiatives under the Digital Education Action Plan (2021–2027) and provide practical guidance, classroom examples and clear quality criteria to help teachers confidently respond to new developments in digital education.
To introduce the publications, the European Digital Education Hub will host an online webinar on 23 March, from 11:00 to 12:00 CET. The session is open to Hub members and other interested participants, who can register online.
