Online Info Session: Erasmus+ European Degree Exploratory Action and Forward-Looking Projects – Higher Education

On 13 January 2026, the European Education and Culture Executive Agency Organised an info session to present new funding opportunities.

The Partnerships for Innovation: Forward-Looking Projects - Higher Education initiative (ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PI-FORWARD-HE), with a budget of EUR 8 million, aims to support European Degree Pathway Projects and a Leadership Program to set up a European Leadership Academy. Through approximately 14 pathway projects, it will support public and private organisations active in the fields of education and training to develop innovative approaches to pave the way for a joint European degree, primarily in key sectors such as engineering.  

The European Leadership Academy will equip leaders of higher-education institutions with skills to face the complexity of the current societal challenges such as the digital challenges and green transition.

Who can apply? The call is open to higher education institutions, public and private organisations active in education and training, and quality assurance associations . 

The Partnerships for Excellence - European Universities: European Degree Exploratory Action initiative (ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PE-EUED), with a budget of EUR 14 million, aims to support the rollout of the joint European degree label in higher education institutions across Europe. 

It will support universities in their effort to adapt existing joint programmes or design new ones, in line with the joint degree label criteria. Additionally, the initiative will encourage exploratory projects that assess the practicality and benefits of having a European engineering degree.

Who can apply? The call is open to higher education institutions across Europe.
